Job Title: Holistic Physician
Capacity: Full time Employment
The Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center (TOL) has an opening for a Holistic Physician either M.D. or N.D. who has 3 – 5 years of clinical experience in holistic health and particularly psychology and homeopathy, including a committed spiritual of Essene-Kabbalistic, Yoga and/or Native American Culture.
The candidate’s desire should be to live in a spiritual, organic plant-source only live-food community located in the picturesque high-desert mountains of Patagonia Arizona, one hour south of Tucson. The Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center is supporting people on their path of whole-person enlightenment – spiritually, mentally, and physically. Established in 1993, the Tree of Life is the center for the Culture of Life and Liberation and has been a beacon of light, serving guests from over 100 countries.
The candidate would be actively supporting the larger mission of the Tree of Life, which asks the candidate to be a holistic person in your own life as well as a holistic physician.
Rabbi Gabriel Cousens, M.D., M.D. (H), Diplomat in American Board of Holistic Medicine and Diplomat in Ayurveda, Psychiatrist and Family Therapists is going to support the candidate by sharing his 40 years of holistic clinical experience during the first year of more intensive guidance, as well as offering continuing support. This is a position for a person who actively wants to be part of a growing, cutting-edge program on every level and who has a passion to be supporting people on their holistic healing journey.
The Tree of Life is a world leader in creating optimum wellness on all levels, reversing Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes naturally, and we see all variety of chronic diseases with the use of various live-food diets as our primary healing modalities.
Job Description:
1. Testing and recommendation of supplement regimen using herbs, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and superfoods for optimizing wellness and lessening chronic disease.
2. Screening and supervision of clients for and during extended on-site fasting programs, including those in programs centered on Diabetes, Cancer Prevention, and Mental Wellness (Dr. Cousens M.D. will offer specific training).
3. Medical oversight and management of occasional urgent medical situations, including 24-hour call coverage of enrolled TOL clients on an every four-hour basis with a nurse seeing the client first. The TOL explicitly do not act as an emergency room, but the candidate needs skills as to how to decide what to do.
4. Phone consultations to clients pre-arrival to develop treatment plan in order to optimize their stay.
5. Phone consultations particularly your ongoing clients.
6. Question and answer sessions to on-site clients 2x/wk and other teaching options.
Qualifications:
1. Candidate is able to be medically licensed as a M.D., N.D., or Homeopathic Physician in the State of Arizona
2. Candidate is qualified to practice holistic health evaluations of clients using broad based holistic approach included in the Whole Person Healing developed by Gabriel Cousens, M.D. (see TOL website for details)
3. Knowledgeable on live food vegan nutrition, diet and lifestyle
4. Familiar, or willing to become familiar with and able to speak on writings and teachings of Gabriel Cousens, M.D.,M.D.(H)
5. Willingness to actively participate in a spiritually oriented vegan community

GARDEN FOREMAN POSITION: Organic vegan gardening focuses on producing healthy vegetables through natural methods, which means no chemical pesticides or fertilizers. We build our soil through composting, mulching, and cover cropping; manage our pests with companion planting, organic pest control, and hand picking (with the help of our guinea fowl); and control weeds through mulching, and a whole lot of hand weeding.
• The Garden Foreman is a working and supervisory position.
• All duties are performed at the direction and in collaboration with the Garden Manager.
• This is a 40 hour week position.
• Compensation includes a base salary plus meals at our raw vegan café.

The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have five years previous experience in organic, sustainable, vegan gardening, preferably in production gardening. College degree or college certification in sustainable farming/gardening is counted as experience.
Be physically able to handle work in the gardens such as digging, lifting, bending, etc.
Be familiar with four season harvesting.
Have a good understanding of routine garden maintenance requirements (e.g. composting, irrigation, cover crops, etc.) and planning.
Responsibilities:
Steward nearly 2 acres of gardens, cover crops, heated and unheated greenhouses, large and small cold frames, and shade houses.
Plant, nurture, harvest, and wash produce and deliver to Tree of Life Café.
Work with the Garden Manager to execute an annual operating plan for the garden and greenhouses.
Charge of all aspects of growing, planning, and implementation of the annual operating plan for the garden and greenhouses under the direction of the Garden Manager.
Planning, scheduling, organizing and directing work of 4-6 paid and volunteer staff.
See that new staff receives appropriate training and orientation.
Maintain tight planting schedules
Make sure that products are ready for deadlines set out by Garden Manager, such as fasting workshops, etc.
Maintain and monitor the quality of the produce.
Manage irrigation systems.
Maintenance and repair of garden buildings, greenhouses, machinery and equipment.
Manage construction projects at the garden.
Communicate promptly to the Garden Manager any policy violations or other staff issues and make recommendations for disciplinary action and retention or termination.
Maintain knowledge of pests and diseases and an understanding of how they spread and how to treat them in a sustainable manner.
Monitor and document all yields and land use.
Apply health and safety standards throughout the garden.
Ensure that the garden are is kept clean and neat.
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to give detailed clear instruction to and closely supervise inexperienced volunteers in a professional and respectful manner.
Ability to cheerfully lead.
Ability to set, communicate and monitor performance expectations of staff.
Must be a self-starter and capable of lifting 25-30 pounds and completing regular garden maintenance tasks as needed.
Organized and detail oriented.
Capable of initiating and completing a project within an agreed upon timeline.
Effective organization, time management and computer skills.

Working Maintenance/Housekeeping Manager
We are seeking a Working Maintenance/Housekeeping Manager for the Maintenance Dept. The qualified candidate will have the following skills:
* General maintenance/handyman experience – 3-5+ years
* Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC (preferred), general construction
* Proven abililty to manage a team of 2-4 people
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Basic knowledge of financial info, and ability to track routine and project costs
* Basic administration/organizational skills
* Experience working with vendors and contractors, ordering materials, coordinating projects
* Experience with basic estimating costs to perform maintenance tasks
Prefer an individual with a raw, vegan lifestyle. A two-three year committment is desired.
